Lewis Warner scored two goals and assisted on two others on Saturday in leading Findlay High's boys soccer team to a 5-1 win over Mansfield Madison in a Division I sectional final played at Elmer Graham Stadium.
Owen Clevenger, Arda Dastan and Michael Kennard had the other goals for Findlay. Eli Pinion had an assist. The match was scoreless at the half, before Findlay broke things open.
Goalie David Roberts made seven saves on eight shot attempts by Madison (11-6-1). Clevenger also led Findlay defensively with 15 intercepts and five steals. Jayden Barney had 10 steals, Dastan nine and Joe Gerardi seven. Aiden McCord had eight intercepts, with Dastan, Barney and Seth Franks all coming up with six.
Findlay advances to Tuesday's district semifinal at Sylvania Southview where the Trojans (6-7-4) will face top-seeded and No. 9 ranked Anthony Wayne (14-2-3). The teams squared off in the first game of the season, with Anthony Wayne coming away with a 5-2 win.
