Findlay High's
Tyler Gonder won three of his four matches – all by pin – on Saturday when the Trojans opened their 2025-26 wrestling season by hosting the Lee's Chicken/Findlay Duals.
Massillon Perry, Ohio's Division I state runner-up last season, defeated Harrison head-to-head for the team title. Findlay was tenth in the 14-school field.
Gonder went 3-1 in the 215-pound weight class. Alex Apple (190),
Lincoln Kirian (157), Kaliber Brubaker (120),
Madison Smith (138),
Cameron Trice (165),
Caleb Kanney and
Parker Snider (144) and went 2-2 on the day, with Brubaker and Kanney scoring both of their ins by pin.
Findlay returns to the mats on Thursday when the Trojans travel to Fremont Ross for a dual meet.
