Findlay's four wins came in straight sets and the Trojans beat Sylvania Northview 4-1 on Thursday in the Ohio Tennis Coaches Association team tournament.
Findlay, which will have two doubles teams and a singles player in OHSAA district tournament play on Saturday, will travel to Perrysburg on Monday for the Northwest regional final. A win against the Yellow Jackets would earn the Trojans, who achieved a second straight 20-win season on Thursday, a return trip to the OTCA state semifinals.
Findlay dropped just five games in sweeping the singles matches against Northview. Max Hosey doubled up Grant Wielgman 6-2, 6-2 at No. 1 singles, Austin Asada blanked Northview's Connor Kleinschmidt 6-0, 6-0 and No. 2, and Mac Robertson scored a 6-1, 6-0 victory over Mateo Roth at No. 3.
Findlay's No. 2 doubles team of Sam Swisher and Haden Harris scored a 6-4, 6-0 win over Gavin Binni and Nick Legakis in their match. Northview's lone win came at No. 1 where Max Forquer and Grayson Worth outlasted Nick Simmermeyer and Arda Dastan in a marathon match, 6-3, 5-7, 10-8.
